There are roughly 120 Earth quakes that happen each year over a 6.0. Roughly 1000 per year over a 5.0. That is one every 3 days. Every three days people die in earthquakes that destroy countries.

BUT, how many news stories got published before Haiti? Once a month? Maybe. Since Haiti, there have been three major Earth quakes that “deserved” national attention by news networks. Think this has anything to do with the major outcry for Haiti? Think the news networks found another way to demand attention?

Report it or don’t, but don’t pretend that there is no agenda here. Matter of fact, based on the comments about Chile, I see a lot of people wondering why we don’t donate another 200 million to some foreign country…

Who the hell is this lady? I use the term ‘lady’ fairly loosely here. I have been reviewing the comments on her videos and her website, watching a few opinions of her (my favorite), and watching her show (I got sick, twice). This is when I realized why people watch her, they hate her. That made sense, until I came across the comments by viewers about how “highly intelligent” she is, and why “the whole world should love her too.” That blew my mind, but at the same time earned her a place in this blog.

So Nancy Grace is intelligent? Judging by the lack of reference to her career – opinion solely formed based on her show – makes the definition of intelligence “loud, annoying, biased, and rich.” I’m sure there are several other, more colorful, words to describe her form of “intelligence,” but I like to keep this blog somewhat PG-rated. On the second note, I do think the whole world should see her show. It might slap the American public into realizing how retarded the news industry has become.

The show that has prompted my blog entry is the story of the dog getting denied access to help the autistic boy at a public school. According to Nancy, “That’s BS,” while according to the state laws, the dog is not a “legal and specialized animal for treatment.” While I agree with the fact that the dog helps the boy, the school has rules to follow. They let the dog in and some other mom goes to Grace about the “vicious and presumed rabid animal attacking the school.” During the “dog show” Nancy justified her opinion – yes, opinion (look it up Grace, you’re not a news reporter)) – by asking three “experts”: the mother of the boy (official expert on the boy), an autism advocate (expert of nothing but PR), and a five second clip from the only real expert, who was obviously more biased than Grace. This dog in question has to pass/be trained by an official organization, approved by the medical industry and state laws. It wasn’t. This dog couldn’t sit still for a 5 min interview; imagine how distracting it would be in a room of 10 year old kids. No offense to the family in question, but if the boy needs a dog to remain calm and orderly, maybe it shouldn’t be in the public school (or maybe a squirrel would work out better). I have to back the Hillsboro district on this one, stand your ground. Grace might be a dog herself, but she has no bite and deserves a good mussel. She is a ratings hog, find a topic, blow it way out of proportion, and report it with your own super-twist and video effects. She could turn a story about flies into a national epidemic, and the lower half of the IQ ladder would jump out of a window on her advice. I agree, jump.

Experiment: Let Nancy write her own constitution. It would read in a by-person layout. “Sue Smith can do this, but not that, and not that. But she can do this.” If anything she’d feel like a contributor and it would occupy her time for the next million years. Nancy, we have laws in this country, you so-calledly know them, you can’t agree with your stories if you know the law. What is Hillsboro supposed to say? Yes to this dog, then what? I need my dog so I can read; you can’t prove I don’t, so therefore I get mine too. Laws aren’t perfect, but it beats that system.

To sign off in the official Nancy Grace way, current member of Dickipeidia (I love that), most biased “news” reporter in the world, anything-for-a-paycheck advocate, and award winner for “most interrupting person”: “F you! I’m Nancy Grace! I have a TV show!”

Note to Grace: I’ll do an interview, but my half is going to YouTube where you can’t disrupt it. But, that kind of eliminates the point, doesn’t it?

So everyone has seen the news stories, everyone knows about the earthquake in Haiti. How is it that the news focuses on the American aspect of the disaster and fails to account for the situation? The top stories on CNN right now are the abandonment of the aid station and the treatment of dead bodies. The comments following these stories are unwarranted in my opinion. Aid stations abandoned for safety concerns; sounds about right to me. Who in their right mind would stay if there was a credible safety threat? I’m all for humanitarian efforts in Haiti (not really), but I wouldn’t risk my own neck to save them. Dead bodies in mass graves; sounds good again. The cities were destroyed, and these comments seem to suggest that each person should get a proper burial. How many of them would have received a proper burial if the earthquake had not taken place? Who is going to bury them? Where are the resources coming from? Whose land is going to be used? I think the Haitians had it right, mass graves and move on. For the record, it seems like most Americans don’t know this, Haiti is not America! Things weren’t that great down there to begin with and people think a disaster is going to fix that, within 72 hours? That is ridiculous. This is CNN using death and tragedy to gain ratings and shave another IQ point of the already diminishing intelligence in this country. New slogan for CNN: bringing you the news one body at time.

Haiti is lucky to get help at all. Not to speak negatively, but the only people that would have lost out if nobody helped would be Haiti’s people and the news. If it wasn’t some ridiculous headline I would wager most Americans wouldn’t even know what happened. I’ll wager that by the time the week is out we see at least two stories of aid works abducted or killed and then people will start screaming to bring them home. The whole situation is absurd, the quicker the news lets it go, the better.

Twitter users: shut the hell up. I am so sick of getting these texts and tweets calling for aid to Haiti. Twitter is only good for the news. There are “twits” (twitter users) out there posting every 10 mins, “Save Haiti. Save them now.” What good does that do? It makes the tens of millions of twits feel slightly better about themselves and does nothing for Haiti. I have a tweet for you, “#waystobeannoying : Pretend like your tweets help someone. Suddenly caring about a country you can’t point out on a map.” If this disaster has taught me anything it is that Americans are utterly useless and simply ignorant unless it has to do with reality TV.

Am I the only one who watches documentaries about modern day America? I have come to the realization that Americans are just plain stupid. Before finishing this article, go watch “Maxed Out” and “This Film is Not Yet Rated.” If there are some other good ones, post them, I can’t recall all the titles. These documentaries are not made by extremist groups, they are not winged or anything like that. Take them with a grain of salt, but take them. They spurred from real problems that occur in America, real problems that I would refer to as the downfall of humanity. Credit card debt, guns, film, drugs, these are the problems with humanity. These filmmakers decided to point it out, in a way the same thing I do here, point out problems in an attempt to fix it… make it relevant to people. I am assuming I must be the only person, besides the filmmakers, who actually watched these documentaries. I assume that because these films point things out that I can’t touch with a 10 foot pole. They point out problems I could never limit to a page of information. These problems are obvious, they are screaming at us, yet we continue to fall further and further into the traps. What the hell is wrong with people? Why do we continue to do these things that are obviously bad for us, why don’t we fix it? I can answer that, on average we are just too stupid. Yes, that means you and me. I have no doubt that in 20 years time people will look back and condemn our society; condemn the fact that we didn’t do something to fix the obvious problems. I am ready to do something, but I can’t do it alone. We can look to the news and easily see that there are people in this world who are willing to do something; willing to die for the cause. Unfortunately, they are not American. Honestly, what are you willing to die for? There is no point to life if you’re not willing to die for something. Hence the title and my undeniable point (check the IQ statistics) Americans are too stupid to accomplish anything worthwhile to the prolonged existence of humanity. I realize this is rather harsh, but nothing has ever gotten done being politically corrected. That’s what I’m willing to die for, true reform, revolution to the truest extent.

I realize this sounds “cult-like” and maybe I am just premature, but one day this will happen. One day a group of civilians will rise up and rebuild this nation. I can guarantee it won’t be the useless gluttony I complain, they are happy to live their lives in a celebrity and cooperation driven society. I am not, and that will be the reason for the inevitable uprising, that will be that day I will finally be proud of humanity. When they stand as one united group and say, “No more!” I plan to remain American, because the day that happens I’ll be proud to post my name to this blog, I’ll be proud of being American. As of now, I am ashamed of it and you should be too.

Just to top it off. Biased or not, freaking idiots. Assume they had in interview 1 million people to get these idiots, isn’t that still appalling?

What is with the modern focus on children? I guess I just don’t see these kids as prodigies. A recent news story (the kid who doesn’t pledge) let the father speak. He said his child was a person, with equal rights (on a side note, the kid was taking about equal rights) and deserved as much recognition as any adult. Really, does he? I don’t think so. 18 is the legal age of adulthood, 16 is the legal age to drive, 21 is the legal age to own a gun. Does this kid “deserve” rights? Have we not realized that children are ignorant (ignorant means not able, willing, or learned… not stupid), is that not why we have these age limits set? I just don’t see the big deal about some kid that had a nation’s epiphany. Example, the kid in the story mentioned above was arguing for gay rights (a noble, but futile cause) and was only able to articulate marriage as an area of unequal rights. Needless to say, when you mention gay rights, marriage is a big topic, but not the only one. The child was obviously intelligent, but not even close to realizing his statements. I don’t personally care if he was wrong or right, he was incoherent.

The news has recently focused on these children with a cause, my question is why. Do people just think these kids are cute? A reasonable explanation for the media’s misuse of the story. Or do people actually care? If they do care, why? Do they realize the child is under 12 and doesn’t realize the political valiance of the statement? Do they think that this is some sort of religious awakening that needs attention? I just don’t see the use of the claims that these children are some sort of Jesus figure that deserves our respect. The only reasonable explanation I can come up with is the fact that they have yet to be corrupted by society, and therefore have unbiased belief. Unfortunately the later, I feel, is impossible.

A girl who sneezes 12,000 times a day. Forget the story, it doesn’t matter… oh wait… yes it does. This 12 years old girl sneezes 12,000 times a day. According to the story on CNN, this started about 2 weeks ago when she had a cold. Now the family is just heartbroken…

Okay. First of all, she is not sneezing. She is obviously pushing air over her tongue causing the sound you hear in the video. Remember the last time you sneezed? Where does the air come out of your face? Even better, you feel that urge to sneeze, you grit your teeth…inhale AND CLOSE YOUR MOUTH. I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure you can’t sneeze out of your mouth.

Now, the real evidence… This “syndrome” started two weeks ago, roughly 14 days. The mother has already taken the young faker (maybe?) to six doctors including a psychotherapist (that is what she really needs) and tried 11, YES, 11 drugs to solve the problem. Eleven drugs, 5 doctors, and a therapist in 14 days. She’ll be on Opera by December if she can keep it up. Oh…by the way…who do you think called CNN? Just maybe…maybe the mom did. Balloon boy all over.

What’s really sad is how often these nuts surface… I will bet my money on a lawsuit against… the drywall company. No, the air purifier company. No, the tobacco industry. No, wait, the fast food industry, or maybe the airlines, or the car manufacturer, or the construction workers on the corner, or the internet. That’s it, it’s the internet’s fault… who do they sue for that? I would like the take this time to coin a new term, Attention Deprivation Disorder (ADD; yes I know that it is taken). This is a pandemic sweeping the nation, a need for attention so bad that people are willing to do anything (lie, cheat, steal, hide in the attic, sneeze all day) to get stared at. Did you know most serial killers do it fame, same difference.

The story surfaced on CNN on Oct 24. “Get a conscience, not a costume,” is the title. It is focused on a new wave of Halloween costumes, an alien carrying a green card. The story claims racism on part of the producer, but I agree with the manufacturer’s statement, “The only people getting upset are the hypersensitive, over-politically correct, pro-amnesty, illegal alien-supporting nuts.”

First off, what a marketing plan, make something controversial and don’t apologize. Welcome to American Rudy Ruiz (author of the story). I am free to wear a gorilla suit and drive a low rider if I want. I can drink Corona and rant in Spanish wearing a mustache. This is America, not the left-wing world in your head.

Secondly, anti-immigration is NOT racism. That, Rudy, is just a ridiculous word-play to gain support. I see the obvious “problem” with the costume, but you cannot claim racism. For the sake of argument, I don’t know any Latinos, and I buy the costume, Am I a racist? No, I am “not PC,” but you have no evidence of racism.

This story is a blatant example of “ultra-dumb” (my term). Thank you CNN, you have ruined the news. Your 24 hour news cast makes reporting worthwhile news a scare item. You have allowed people like Rudy to voice their opinion because it gains support for your fight, which has no side – you just seek a fight. It’s like a playground bully, he doesn’t care… he just wants attention and knows he gets it by fighting.

Side Note: Want to see something cool? I’m going to tag this article “racism” and it will get 3 times as many hits as my other articles. Yes, it’s a marketing technique, I could name a toy the “racist Barbie” and CNN will write a story that boasts sales. Attention start-up companies, be extreme and let CNN will sell your crap.

I recently read an anthology containing several narratives from African Americans who lived adjacent to the Civil War, slaves. Obviously, this time period is well known for the slavery institution. I have lived in a multi-cultural world my entire life. I feel that I have a heads up on the argument, thanks to my evenly split high school and city of origin. This anthology, specifically the pieces about slavery, was quite interesting and parallels some recent news stories. Today we again face this issue of race in our society, brought to the level of news with “Black in America.” We pummel ourselves with circumstances and statistics in an attempt to prove a point that was “solved” in 1865. I think the issues of slavery are over; what we face now is its own battle over culture.

I’ll state for the record my opinion: slavery is bad. In any form, the act of enslaving another human being is a bad thing. The act in itself affects both the slaves and the owners in a negative fashion. In the case of the American slave trade, slaves developed a sense of inferiority and owners developed a lack of human acknowledgment. In any instance, the entire situation was cruel and inhuman. The “end” of slavery in America was another horrendous situation inflicted on the African American race. Eventually, the situation resolved itself with the Civil Rights movement led by Martin Luther King, Jr. in the 1960s. Reinforced by affirmative action, the situation appeared to be over.

Little did anyone know at the time that we were merely entering into a new form of segregation. Modern American society is now socially divided rather than legally divided. I attribute this to the modern desire to be miserable. This topic, without a doubt, will generate a lot of negative publicity as it has with the recent firefighter’s promotion testing and Sotomayor’s situation. I am willing to voice my opinion anyway.

I don’t necessarily agree or disagree with some arguments of the past, but at a point in time they justified slavery and therefore have a place in this article. During the slave trade, it was widely believed that slaves were better off in custody than as free Africans. This argument was fairly solid within the realm of society. If, in fact, any society is better than the lack of it, it is true and they were better off. Religion played a large role in this argument as it was considered that the lack of it would lead to sin, hell, and damnation. In the realm of humanitarian attitudes, this argument was completely false; society or not, abducting people is wrong. The mark of Cain was another widespread argument in favor of slavery. Biblically, Cain was “marked” for killing his brother Abel. Western culture deemed that the “mark” was that of the African skin color. Thus, people saw themselves as good people for “saving” the heathens, civilizing the evil in the world. Again, on its base level it is wrong, but if some religion is in fact better than none, they were again better off.

Culture is the main point of acknowledgment. The African American race has a very rich culture in modern American society. This culture is, in fact, the cause and effect of the problem. This culture is a product of the oppression and animosity that surrounds the fictitious idea of being African American. Besides the factual skin tone and sickle cell anemia, African Americans and Caucasians are biologically, mentally, and socially equal in a scientific context. The differences in culture can only be due to an inherent desire to cast out the natural culture of society in favor of one created for an individual race. The natural culture is the one that has slowly evolved due to natural events within a society. The rejection of that culture in favor of another will, without doubt, not be accepted by the current inhabitants. This is not due to racism or prejudice, but natural order. Consider nature; take a flock of geese in their natural setting and observe their demeanor. They act in complete unison, almost as one body containing many parts. If just one of these geese decided it would act differently, it would be cast out and would inevitably die without the support of the flock. If a group, a large group, decided the same, they would create a divide in the flock, creating problems among its members and eventually leading to a split in the population. There is a survivalist reasoning that cultures find their own place and stay separate, leading to prolonged survival. This is in no way saying we should separate the country; it is merely a fact of nature and should be considered when discussing racial topics.

I contend that this current ‘Black In America’ issue of race is self inflicted. African Americans can do whatever they want in this society. There are no more laws preventing them from gaining success, no more illegal ideals that hold them back. In fact, there is still a stipulation that everything should have a number of minorities proportionate to that seen in the population. Affirmative Action is now getting some negative press in that it is no longer needed. Any lack of success is now completely the fault of the party experiencing it. I apologize for putting it so bluntly, but I am tired of hearing these stories of oppression in this modern world. The desire of the African American race to uphold their own culture is commendable, but it is also the reason for their problems. The desire to be separate, to be different, and to be outcast is up to the African Americans in this country. We attend the same schools, we live in the same places, we work the same jobs, yet we see these differences. We all have the same opportunity in this world, and the fact that those who take advantage of it tend to be white is not an act of racism.

The effects of slavery on modern society are not that obvious; some are practically invisible. Black people being in this country is the most obvious result of slavery. If not for slavery, there would be no African American race. A point to notice is that the surviving African Americans in this country would statistically not exist if not for slavery. Not to promote slavery, but after the fact it is possible to point out that a large percentage of Africans die from starvation and disease. Modern America is not plagued with these problems. Therefore, the assumption can be made that a large percentage of African Americans wouldn’t exist if their ancestors had not been taken into slavery. If a great grandfather of an African American was brought close to death by an infection, it is safe to say that the same man would have died if slavery hadn’t brought his ancestor to America. The following generations also would not have existed. Another effect of slavery is the African American culture in general. This culture is heart and soul of most African Americans. It can very simply be stated that that culture would not exist if not for slavery. To all the African Americans who are angered by these statements, I offer you one final truth. The option of returning home was made available as soon as freedom was granted but was denied by the freed slaves. It was obvious that living in America was better, and if you disagree, why do you still live here?

I have many African American friends, mostly educated people, who have approved this article. I state this only to show that I am not some KKK member. I have debated this topic in public for many years to find my conclusions. If you disagree, I ask you to voice your own opinions, and I open my blog to you. I promise not to deny or discredit any articles posted; I am open to any argument.

I watch a movie. I got to write.

I see the news. I got to write.

I do my homework. I got to write!

It has come to my attention that I have to write. I see, I do, I write. Unfortunately, it seems I can only write about things that make me mad. I would love to change that, but it isn’t the writing that calls me, it is telling the world my opinion. I know, I am just one person, I am but one man, insignificant. Why is that?

Why can one man not make a difference anymore? What happen to the time of Churchill and Hitler? I think one man can, so I write. I know my opinion will go unheard… abated, but that will not stop me. I will write, no matter the adversity, no matter the danger of speaking an opinion. I beg you America, write. Write your ills and happiness. Tell the world what you want them to hear. Our world is turning to dust, insignificant dust. Does that not upturn up?

I realize my writings are one sided, even hateful at times. That isn’t the point. What does America think, not you and me, America. Why can we not stand up with one voice and say, “This is what I think!”? Now… I have told you what I think, but what about you? Stand up. Speak. Sitting there and watching this world isn’t going to help anyone.

There is a new story being released by CNN that has been building for years: online images of sensitive locations to our nation’s security. In the past few years, technology has hit a new peak with high-resolution images that can be accessed by any regular internet connection. I agree with the story; these images should be blurred or removed to prevent them from being used by terrorists. But in looking at the news story, what does CNN think? Obviously the reporter and interviewees are concerned about this situation, yet they still feel it is their duty to release this information.

I have two points to make about this. Point one, terrorists already use these images to plan attacks; we have proof of that. But why would CNN spread that information of availability more and more? As of the time this story was released, there might have been several terrorist organizations that didn’t think about this obvious use. Well, we can be assured that now they do know of this use and even where to look for sources. I for one say “thank you CNN; thank you for making sure that the entire world knows of the flaws in our national security.” We can all rest in peace now because protecting this information is no longer necessary. Even better, people who actually cared enough to do research have pointed out weaknesses in several communication shacks, air shafts, guard towers, and patrols. These people would be an asset to our security because of their attention to detail, but no worries, CNN has made it their job to ensure that the terrorists won’t need to do their own research. They can just watch the news as CNN points out each weakness spotted by concerned citizens. I have an idea; CNN should make up a realistic terrorist attack and publish it. Just give them the plans in full so that they won’t need to do any legwork at all. I have been extremely sarcastic thus far, but seriously, how is releasing photos of these sites on the news going to help anyone? Might as well write a “Terrorism For Dummies” book and get it over with.

My second point is that this is a ratings grab by CNN. Most people, well, most educated individuals, already know that terrorists have used these online photos for intelligence in planning attacks. So this story was purely meant to scare people. They did it very eloquently, but they might as well have said, “You’re not safe, the terrorists know our weaknesses, we will be attacked again.” The media mask has been using this tactic to gain ratings for decades. Find a topic that scares people and play it over and over again. Swine Flu is a great example. Here are some statistics for you to chew on. Worldwide there have been almost 20,000 cases of the H1N1 virus, according to the World Health Organization. The total population of the world is roughly 6,783,421,727, according to a census. That means that not even .000002 percent of the world’s population has been exposed. Compare that to the 1918 epidemic where it is a low estimate to say 50 million people died. Now remember, we are comparing deaths to cured cases here. That’s roughly 3% of the estimated 1918 world population. Statistically speaking, Swine Flu is not an epidemic, yet it makes daily news releases. Chances are your neighbors don’t have it, chances are your community hasn’t seen any cases, yet we are still supposed to be scared. I have an idea; CNN should release a bacterial mouth cover with their logo on it. If you’re going to feed yourselves on fear and death, do it right and admit where your priorities lie.

I definitely support free speech; hell, I have this blog, but you don’t see me posting possible terrorist targets up here. Even if I were privy to such information, I wouldn’t want to scare people with information that cannot be changed. It is a tough topic, though. China is currently blocking such sites as YouTube to prevent people from seeing anti-government propaganda. I disagree with the government blocking information. On the other hand, I see no problem with the news making a conscious decision to not release a story due to the fact that it promotes fear among the general public and cannot be changed. Or even better, release the story without all the biases. I have yet to hear a reporter say the truth, “The chances of you personally being attacked by terrorists or infected by the Swine Flu are lower than the chances of you being in a fatal car crash.” Maybe we should be more concerned with buckling our seatbelts than preventing terrorists’ attacks or flu infection. But this brings out the humanitarian in me; drive fast with no seatbelts, promote terrorism, get the Swine Flu, go win yourself that Darwin Award and leave the rest of us with our intelligence and morality.
