CNN has a New Low
I like the news, and I normally use the CNN.com website to get caught up on events each day. I have said it before: I think the stories are turning into “infotainment.” I am not here to be entertained. Today, when reading about horrible parents, frivolous lawsuits, and one more lost job, I came across this advertisement:

I have a few things to say about this ad that was located on a so-called news site.
“Everyone’s” implies that I looked at, enjoyed, and in some way claimed it as my headline. I saw these when they were current events, and in no way do I want to imply that I liked them. It really boils me to see advertisements that attempt to speak for me.
The three headlines that are present in the advertisement are great examples of why I use this blog. Anyone who would buy this t-shirt should be lined up and forced to watch footage of a real news story. My main point here is that the people who buy this are the people who the site wants to cater to. I find that appalling. Congrats CNN; way to contribute to the stupidity of mankind.
My final point to mention is the ad itself. What is CNN doing advertising for themselves? I created this website; do you see any ads? I didn’t think so. It is not necessary to have ads to have a website. The real point is that any organization that feels the need to advertise in this manner it not looking out for their users.
