The Dry River

Downfall of Mankind

A.D.D.

A girl who sneezes 12,000 times a day. Forget the story, it doesn’t matter… oh wait… yes it does. This 12 years old girl sneezes 12,000 times a day. According to the story on CNN, this started about 2 weeks ago when she had a cold. Now the family is just heartbroken…

Okay. First of all, she is not sneezing. She is obviously pushing air over her tongue causing the sound you hear in the video. Remember the last time you sneezed? Where does the air come out of your face? Even better, you feel that urge to sneeze, you grit your teeth…inhale AND CLOSE YOUR MOUTH. I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure you can’t sneeze out of your mouth.

Now, the real evidence… This “syndrome” started two weeks ago, roughly 14 days. The mother has already taken the young faker (maybe?) to six doctors including a psychotherapist (that is what she really needs) and tried 11, YES, 11 drugs to solve the problem. Eleven drugs, 5 doctors, and a therapist in 14 days. She’ll be on Opera by December if she can keep it up. Oh…by the way…who do you think called CNN? Just maybe…maybe the mom did. Balloon boy all over.

What’s really sad is how often these nuts surface… I will bet my money on a lawsuit against… the drywall company. No, the air purifier company. No, the tobacco industry. No, wait, the fast food industry, or maybe the airlines, or the car manufacturer, or the construction workers on the corner, or the internet. That’s it, it’s the internet’s fault… who do they sue for that? I would like the take this time to coin a new term, Attention Deprivation Disorder (ADD; yes I know that it is taken). This is a pandemic sweeping the nation, a need for attention so bad that people are willing to do anything (lie, cheat, steal, hide in the attic, sneeze all day) to get stared at. Did you know most serial killers do it fame, same difference.
